What are the common problems and corresponding solutions when using a laser cutting machine to cut sheet metal?
1. Burrs appear on the machined parts during laser cutting of carbon steel
Common causes and solutions for burrs in machined parts:
(1) If the laser focus position deviates, perform a focus position test and adjust it according to the displacement of the laser focus;
(2) The output power of the laser is not enough. It is necessary to check whether the laser generator is working properly. If it is normal, observe whether the output value of the laser control button is correct. If it is not correct, adjust it accordingly;
(3) The cutting line speed is too slow, and it is necessary to increase the line speed during operation control;
(4) The purity of the cutting gas is insufficient, and high-quality cutting working gas needs to be provided
(5) The instability caused by prolonged machine operation requires shutting down and restarting.
2. Laser incomplete cutting
Reasons for incomplete laser cutting:
(1) The selection of laser nozzle does not match the thickness of the processing plate, replace the nozzle or processing plate;
(2) The laser cutting line speed is too fast, and operation control is needed to reduce the line speed.
3. Abnormal sparks occur during the cutting of low-carbon steel, which can affect the smoothness and machining quality of the cutting section of the workpiece. In this case, the following situations should be considered when all other parameters are normal:
(1) The laser head nozzle is severely damaged and should be replaced in a timely manner;
(2) In the absence of new nozzle replacement, the cutting working gas pressure should be increased;
(3) If the thread at the connection between the nozzle and the laser head is loose, cutting should be stopped immediately, the connection status of the laser head should be checked, and the thread should be re threaded.
